Overview

The School of Legal Excellence (SLE) offers a distinguished five-year LLB programme in affiliation with the University of the Punjab and recognised by the Pakistan Bar Council. Designed for aspiring legal professionals, this programme provides the perfect foundation to build a successful career in law.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 50% in LAT and 45% in Intermediate (FA, FSc, ICom, ICS, A Level, or equivalent), plus an interview.
• Age must not exceed 24 years at the time of enrolment.

Admission Requirement

To apply for admission to the University of the Punjab’s 5-year LLB programme, please visit our Admissions Office with the following documents:

• Eight passport-size photographs
• Attested copies of all academic certificates
• Copy of CNIC or B-Form
• Character certificate from the last attended institution
• Copy of father’s
• CNIC LAT result

Programme Structure

The LLB programme is a comprehensive five-year degree designed to deliver in-depth legal education. It follows an annual examination system, with the first three years consisting of six core courses each, while the fourth and fifth years include seven courses each. Classes are held in the morning session on weekdays, allowing students to fully immerse themselves in the curriculum. This structured approach provides a solid foundation in legal principles, preparing graduates for successful and impactful careers in law.

Upon completing the LLB degree, graduates must pass the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT), administered by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC), to obtain a license to practice as an advocate.

Scholarships & Financial Assistance

1. Merit Scholarships: FA/FSc/ICS/ICom/A Level or equivalent
• Above 90% marks: 40% tuition fee waiver
• Above 80% marks: 30% tuition fee waiver
• Above 70% marks: 20% tuition fee waiver
• Above 60% marks: 10% tuition fee waiver
2. Hafiz-e-Quran: 20% tuition fee waiver
3. Debates Scholarship: 20% tuition fee waiver
4. Government Servant: 20% tuition fee waiver
5. Lawyer/Judge Family: 20% tuition fee waiver
6. Sports Scholarship: 20% tuition fee waiver
7. Kinship: 20% tuition fee waiver for the second sibling & 30% tuition fee waiver for the third sibling
8. Financial Assistance: up to 100%

Note:
  • Only one scholarship/financial assistance programme, whichever is higher, will be applicable.
  • The Government Servant & Lawyer/Judge Family Scholarship will apply only to immediate family members.


Law Admission Test (LAT)

The Law Admission Test (LAT), conducted by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), is a mandatory requirement for admission into the LLB programme. 1. Tuition fees are subject to an annual increase of up to 10%.
2. The student will be responsible for paying the PU Examination Fee, PU Affiliation Fee, and PBC charges as per the official notifications issued by concerned authorities.
